Τα ΕΞΥΠΝΑ Παράθυρα που θα παράγουν ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα

Ερευνητές στο Αμερικάνικο πανεπιστήμιο της Καλιφόρνιας  UCLA , έχουν αναπτύξει μια νέα τεχνική με ένα νέο είδος μεμβράνης συλλογής ηλιακής ενέργειας και μετατροπής της σε ηλεκτρικό ρεύμα και η οποία θα τοποθετηθεί στα παράθυρα των σπιτιών μας για να παράγουμε ηλεκτρισμό για οικιακή χρήση.
University of California (UCLA) researchers developed a new transparent solar cell that can be used as windows in homes to generate electricity.
The new cell is absorbing energy from infrared light instead of visible light and this makes the cells almost 70% transparent to the human eye. Study leader Yang Yang, a UCLA professor of materials science and engineering said: "These results open the potential for visibly transparent polymer solar cells as add-on components of portable electronics, smart windows and building-integrated photovoltaics and in other applications"
